The Risk Adjustment Forum is California-bound: What’s new at the premiere spring event for risk adjustment and quality specialists

Join us at the Four Seasons Westlake Village, Calif., on May 13-15 for the 25th Risk Adjustment Forum, the number one risk adjustment resource. Here’s a summary of just a few of the new sessions planned.

Half-day workshop on Mastering ACA risk adjustment

We’ve added a third pre-conference workshop for our spring event. In addition to our two full-day preconference workshops for the risk adjustment practitioner and advanced HCC auditor, this year’s conference will also feature a morning interactive workshop on ACA risk adjustment, its financial implications, and best practices for accurate data submission and compliance. Additional registration is required for the workshop, which will be led by Wynda Clayton, specialist, risk adjustment, and Donna Malone, CPC, CRC, AAPC approved Instructor, AHCCA, RAP, director clinical documentation and quality improvement. 

The latest on regulatory and audit readiness

CMS regulation update: Speakers will examine the latest policy changes impacting risk adjustment and Part D compliance and discuss compliance risks and oversight strategies. 

Maintaining stability in Medicare Advantage: A panel of industry experts from Baylor Scott and White Healthcare, Whistleblower Partners, and Molina HealthCare will assess strategies for retaining and engaging members, discuss financial sustainability approaches, and identify best practices for adapting to risk adjustment and payment models.

Boosting Star ratings: Panelists from Blue Shield of California, Dueringer Advisors Inc., and DUOS, will evaluate how risk-adjusted data can be used to close gaps in care, improve preventive screening rates and chronic disease management, and discuss strategies for aligning risk adjustment efforts with Star rating measures.
