RISE is pleased to confirm that two representatives from the HHS Office of Inspector General will kick off the main conference with a presentation on OIG audit readiness.
Christopher G. Bresette, CPA, director, Medicare Part C Audits, and Carolyn Kapustij, senior advisor for managed care, both with the HHS Office of Inspector General (OIG), will keynote The RISE Audit Readiness Master Class, a new conference to help health care professional prepare for all types of federal audits.
Bresette and Kapustij will present “Empowered and Prepared: Excellence in OIG Audit Readiness,” at 9:10 a.m. Monday, January 13, 2025, the first day of the main conference.
The new conference will provide audit professionals from managed care health plans with the tools they need to successfully manage the full spectrum of audits from OIG, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Department of Health and Human Services, and Risk Adjustment Data Validation. Sessions will focus on CMS program audits, sample audits, chart retrieval, audit preparation, differences between varying types of audits, and solutions and tools to improve audit performance.
