Reflections on RISE National 2026: Insights from health care leaders

More than 1,600 health care professionals traveled to Orlando, Fla. last week for RISE National 2026, a three-day event that offered practical insights on Medicare Advantage, risk adjustment, Star ratings, member experience, and operational excellence.

RISE provided comprehensive coverage of the event throughout the week, but attendees have also reflected on their experience, offering meaningful insights on sessions and hallway conversations that took place at our 20th anniversary event.

Reflections from the RISE community:

From Chad Baugh, Healthmine

“Been to this conference a few times now and something felt different this year. Not the format, that stayed the same. But the conversations and energy felt just...more. More engaged, deeper and longer.

People were having longer conversations and digging into the hard stuff we're all dealing with. I think it's because everyone is feeling the uncertainty and wanted to hear how others are handling it. The pressure is real and it brought people together. (history actually shows us that's a core reason people come together - challenge.)”

Jessica Brouillette, Reveleer

"RISE National 2026 has officially wrapped, and I am still riding the high! This was my first year attending and I honestly didn't know what to expect, but wow. Three days of incredible sessions, candid conversations, and being completely immersed in the world of risk adjustment, Medicare Advantage, Stars quality, and value-based care alongside some of the sharpest minds in the industry.”

Michell Butler, Curant Health

“RISE National – Women’s Day Event. One word: Amazing. here are very few conferences I consider a must‑attend, and the RISE National Women’s Day Event is absolutely one of them for women leaders. I walked away with so many meaningful takeaways that continue to refine me as a leader.

Corey Chapman, Signify Health

“Reflecting on last week, I’m feeling completely reenergized and inspired by the collective brilliance of this community. There is something powerful about stepping away from the daily grind to look at the "big picture" of how our industry is evolving. From deep dives into the latest CMS regulatory shifts to innovative strategies for sustainable gap closure, the sessions this year were top-tier. But as much as I loved the content, the highlight was undoubtedly the people.”

Shannon Decker, Ph.D., VBC One

“Some of the best insights at RISE National 2026 didn’t happen on stage. They happened in conversation…And these conversations—outside the spotlight—are often where the real insights live.”

Dr. Christie McMullen, Intentionality Group

“Last week during the RISE National 2026 in Orlando reminded me of something simple: People don’t follow titles, they follow how you make them feel.”

Adam Morris, Charta Health

Value-based care is at an inflection point… The plans that will thrive in the new regulatory environment aren't the ones treating compliance as a legal firewall against an aggressive revenue strategy. They're the ones integrating RAF accuracy into a single, coherent effort to achieve defensible compliance and better insight into patient acuity, at the same time.

From S2M Health

“Over the years, RISE has been more than just an event. It’s been a space where conversations have evolved, perspectives have sharpened, and relationships have been built over time. In an industry that’s constantly changing, what stands out is the consistency of the people who show up, year after year, contributing to a community that continues to grow together.

From Ellen Wofford, RISE

“It’s incredible to see a space where people genuinely want to show up. Even in an industry that can feel complex and challenging, this community brings energy, connection, purpose – and lots of fun. Hugs, handshakes, toasts, plus a shared mission to make health care better.”
