Check out everything we’ve planned so far.

Rockstar keynote speakers

Dan Clark, an international motivational speaker and New York Times best-selling author of 35 books, will present a keynote address on how to become an incredible communicator and use speaking and storyselling to network and influence.

He will discuss how stories apply to the sales process, how storytelling can improve your numbers at the end of a quarter, and how to motivate individuals and groups to act. The presentation will also focus on how to develop skills to choose the right story at the right time to release endorphins, dopamine, oxytocin, or serotonin to influence how people act.

An exceptional high school athlete, Clark later became a Golden Gloves boxing champion, Alpine Ski racing champion, Intermountain Moto Cross champion, Sunkist All-American football player, and All-Star baseball pitcher. In 1982, he was named an Outstanding Young Man of America and was soon sponsored into the National Speakers Association by world renown motivational teacher Zip Ziglar, who personally mentored him for 25 years in the art and science of speaking, writing, and storytelling. Clark quickly became a sought-after speaker in North America and was honored by U.S. President Ronald Reagan with the Presidential Service Award as the primary speaker for Nancy Reagan’s “Just Say No” program. He has also earned the highest “Certified Speaking Professional” designation in the National Speakers Association, was inducted into the Professional Speakers Hall of Fame, and has been named one of the Top 10 Motivational Speakers in the World.

Clark is an alumnus of the University of Utah (psychology), a university professor, podcast host, New York Times best-selling author of 35 books, and a primary contributing author to the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. One of his famous stories, “Puppies for Sale,” was made into a film at Paramount Studios starring Jack Lemmon.

Dr. Christie L. McMullen, best-selling author of the book, Learning Can Stick: A Guide to Make Every Learning Experience Safe, Logical, Fun, and Memorable, will present a keynote on how to analyze, improve, move, and spear your target. McMullen, who trains adults to be better at what they do so that every interaction is memorable, will help you analyze your current systems and ways of working and improve satisfaction, productivity, engagement, accountability, and retention for yourself, your employees, and your members.

McMullen devoted the last 20+ years to being an educator but has spent her entire life as a learner. She transitioned from teaching high school to teaching adults early in her career and has worked with adult learners in many settings. Whether training educators, business leaders, medical personnel, or her own children, she knows that learning sticks when it is safe, logical, fun, and memorable. McMullen has been a teacher, assistant principal, mentor, program specialist, associate area director, and trainer, giving her a unique and diverse perspective on the training, teaching, and learning world.

Networking on steroids

Networking with peers is always a highlight of the conference. In addition to our networking breakfasts, lunches, and breaks throughout the event, this year will include a champagne speed networking event, where you can make connections with other attendees in a speed networking-style experience.

The fun begins on Sunday, January 29 at 5 p.m. with the speed networking event in the exhibit hall, followed by a welcome reception at 6 p.m., featuring drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and face-to-face networking.

The excitement continues Monday, January 30 at 4:50 p.m., with interactive champagne roundtables featuring 20-minute presentations about the latest technologies and solutions to boost your organization’s endeavors. We’ll finish the evening with a networking cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m. with drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and face-to-face networking with peers.

Fantastic new venue

We’re headed to a new “European” location in Vegas!

The Paris Las Vegas features guest rooms with a distinctly chic European look, Versailles-style fixtures, and luxury romantic décor. You’ll also experience the best of Paris dining, including upscale French cuisine, crêpes, or savory comfort food with creative burger concepts. And after the conference ends for the day, enjoy the nightlife. The Paris features a rooftop dance club, casino, and Las Vegas entertainment. Playing at the venue in January: Bat Out of Hell The Musical. The musical is a Rocky-Horror, Romeo-and-Juliet celebration of star-crossed lovers from opposite sides of the tracks caught in a city teetering on the brink of disaster.
